I have written in this blog before about Bobby Cutts Jnr, who killed his partner Jessie Davis (who was 9 months pregnant with a daughter who was to be named Chloe) infront of their toddler son. The son told police "Mummy is in the rug".
Cutts has just been found guilty and has tearfully asked the court for leniency in sentencing.
Members of his family testified as to his good character. I'm sorry, but people with good character do not murder other people.
Now I can be very lenient about some things, but I tend to be a hard-ass in these types of cases. Where was HIS leniency for Jessie and their unborn daughter? This man deserves no leniency at all. In fact it infuriates me that he dares to think he deserves any leniency. He is in a US state where there is the death penalty. Even if he is given the death penalty it normally takes a decade before the sentence is carried out.
That is longer than he gave Jessie, and more life than he ever allowed his daughter to have.
